What I'm sourcing for week of 2/6
People who live for the nostalgia of a past decade, inspiring stories of female BFFs, Mothers Day gifts for seniors & more.
Hi all. Here’s what I’m sourcing for this week:
Woman’s Day
For an upcoming print feature, looking for women who have inspiring friendship stories, in honor of National Best Friends Day. Looking for friends doing good for the world together, bffs who helped each other out, bffs with heartfelt stories, a pair of best friends who travel together or have some kind of fun travel connection.
Shondaland
NOTE: Especially interested in people who live for the Victorian era
People who live in the past/dedicate their lifestyle to celebrating past decades:
Looking for individuals, like YouTuber Sage Lilleyman, who uses her vintage inspired channel to share sewing adventures, vintage housewife projects, all things DIY, vintage house renovations, and more — for whom the present just isn't cutting it. Rather, they find fashion, beauty, and culture value in living past decades, be it 1920s Paris or the groovy 60s. Would love to talk to celebrities, TikTokers, social media personalities, people with blogs about this and just everyday folks who live to celebrate a past decade!
Great Pet Care
DIY experts to talk about fun cat-themed crafts you can do with kids
Brookdale
Looking for a few more experts to speak about:
Tips and Tricks to Upsell Your Antiques (ways to refurbish, places to sell etc): Looking to speak to some experts in this space.
Frequently Asked Questions About Long-Term Care Insurance: Looking to speak to some experts in this space.
Also looking for products for
Books You May Have Missed in 2022: What were the top books of 2022 that people need to know about? (Must be a top book of 2022)
Mother’s Day Gift Guide for Seniors: What are the top gifts that people should know about as they are shopping for their moms who are seniors this year? (Note: We actually can’t use affiliate links on the blog but can link to products directly)
Parade E-Edition Cover Stars
Currently sourcing for Aprily and beyond. The E-edition follows a similar distribution as Parade print did and goes out digitally to newspaper subscribers across America. Some also run print excerpts of the interviews. Looking for notable, recognizable names in entertainment, sports and music.

Want to learn more about affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is all the rage these days and is especially important this time of the year. Are you doing it? Do you want to learn more? A colleague created a course that can help that’s definitely worth checking out, if I can say so myself.
If you are having trouble learning how to navigate issues of affiliate marketing (trust me, we've all been there!), you may want to try out my friend Sarah Karger, a publicist, and former editor Dana Baardsen (and all-around fab girl!)'s Ultimate Masterclass and Introduction to Affiliate Marketing for Publicists. It's a brilliant course and it'll answer all your questions (including some you didn't know you had!). Here’s the link to check it out for more info:
