Pets that aren't dogs & cats, weird lumps on skin, sober curious, bday party planning, accurate pregnancy tests, buy nothing groups, financial experts, protein-packed breakfasts & more.
Happy Friday all. We made it. :-) Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? I’m going to attempt to take a few days off. Also since we last talked, I went to Universal Studios Hollywood and checked out Super Nintendo World. As a gal who grew up with Mario, I found it to be sooooo fun!

AARP
Pets that aren't dogs or cats: Looking to speak to some experts about what pets that aren’t dogs and cats make good pets for seniors + would love to chat with some people ages 50 and up who own pets that aren’t dogs and cats
Weird Things on My Skin After 50
Bumps, lumps, spots, growths – older skin often evolves beyond just the usual cosmetic changes. Here’s a quick guide to some of the more puzzling skin changes you might face. Would love to connect with some dermatologists and MDs on this (can be associated with a medical facility or clinic but not a product)
“Are Your Normal?” Looking for financial experts to advise on for people between the ages of 40 and 60, how are we spending and saving? Where do we put our money? What’s considered “normal” for somebody at middle age? Looking at everything here from how much the “typical” Gen Xer spends on everything from music to retirement, vacations to child care, movies to booze. Would also love to chat with some real GenXers about where their spending falls in these categories and beyond.
Sober Curious: Looking to speak to experts + real people on the trend of those being “sober curious,” aka looking to cut back on alcohol. Looking to explore what people should do if they are sober curious? What small steps should they take? What can be helpful? What benefits might they see? Signs that you need to get help.
BROOKDALE (Blog for largest senior housing center in North America with 700+ locations)
How to Plan the Best 100th Birthday Party How: Would love to chat with a few party planners to get their best tips and tricks
Why “Buy Nothing” Groups Are Growing in Popularity: Would love to chat with a few buy/sell experts, eco-friendly activists and buy nothing devotees about this
Recipes for a Protein-Packed Breakfast: RDs (not associated with products) to weigh in on a few creative breakfast recipes (beyond just telling people to eat eggs)
TWILL HEALTH
How to Get Accurate Pregnancy Test Results: Looking to connect with several least two board-certified ob-gyns and will cover basic how-tos and helpful pro tips on things like: (must not be associated with a brand)
Are any tests better/more accurate than others? (Include information about the blue dye tests vs. pink dye or digital tests. We've seen people recommending against the blue dye, since evaporation can create shadowy lines that make them harder to read.)
The test was negative. Could I still be pregnant?
How long should I wait after receiving a negative test result before testing again?
I see a faint line or plus sign. What does that mean?
My test looks positive. What should I do now?
Please email me source options to NCPajer@gmail.com.
Follow me on Twitter. I frequently tweet about last minute sources that I need and would love to connect.
Have a great weekend all!
You got me hooked on Buy Nothing! Although there's definitely no cute baby sheep babysitting opps popping up in San Diego... I sure am keeping my eye out!
Enjoy your much deserved time off, Nicole!
