Hi all! A few things on today’s agenda: Calls for sources and want to know more about affiliate marketing?
Everything you ever wanted to know about affiliate marketing
First of all, affiliate marketing is all the rage these days. Are you doing it? Do you want to learn more? A colleague created a course that can help that’s definitely worth checking out, if I can say so myself. Here’s more info:
If you are having trouble learning how to navigate issues of affiliate marketing (trust me, we've all been there!), you may want to try out my friend Sarah Karger, a publicist, and former editor Dana Baardsen (and all-around fab girl!)'s Ultimate Masterclass and Introduction to Affiliate Marketing for Publicists. It's a brilliant course and it'll answer all your questions (including some you didn't know you had!). Here’s the link to check it out for more info:
Now, onto sources! Here’s what I’m looking for this week:

WEB MD
I’m working on a story about how the pandemic changed us and need a bunch of sources to weigh in. Just need a few quick email quotes from each source. And if it makes sense, sources can cover multiple categories. Here is what I am looking for:
- A dentist to talk about teeth grinding being on the rise + preventative tips
- A social media expert to talk about how we can recover from doomscrolling and harmful social media effects
- An MD to talk about how to boost your microbiome after a year of over sanitizing
- An organizing expert to talk about how learning to declutter is good for us mentally.
- A therapist to talk about how learning to live with less is good for us. How shortages in things like toilet paper can help us overcome our entitlement and help us to be happier and healthier.
- An expert to talk about how sitting around on the couch binging TV is bad for our physical health and how to reverse the damage and get motivated to get moving again
- An expert on why it’s good that we took a break from colds and the flu and how to keep this up
- An expert on why our blood pressures went up and how to mitigate
- A therapist to talk about how we’re more aware of our mental health now and steps to take to keep that going
- An expert to talk about how we’re less trusting (hello misinformation circulating around) and how to be better at finding reputable sources.
- An eye doctor to talk about how being indoors and more screen time may be affecting vision and how to mitigate.
- A money expert to talk about how we’re better with our spending now and how to keep up with intentional spending
- A therapist to talk about how the pandemic made us reevaluate our priorities sand how to keep putting things like family and a meaningful job at the center of our lives
- An expert on burnout to talk about how to have more work/life balance when working from home
- An MD to talk about how we stopped getting physicals, how at home medical testing is on the rise and what to do about our preventative health going forward to help get it back on track
Healthy Women
Need an MD to talk about body odor. What causes it, how can you treat it, what medical conditions might it stem from, when to see your healthcare provider.
Need to speak to a woman who experienced new body odor, went to her MD and got diagnosed with something, like hyperhidrosis, and how she got it treated.
As always, thanks in advance!
